I chose Miles (and family) maybe because although I enjoy the more fantastic elements of Star Trek, I always especially like the more down-to-earth characters. O’Brien, even if he gets to be a Lieutenant, has always felt like a blue-collar guy who only wants to get things done and get home with his family and a beer. 

Also I love that is one of the few characters of which we can see a complete evolution from being almost an extra to having a complete family spanning two different shows. That’s why I chose to show him with Keiko and Molly. I’m well aware that Kirayoshi isn’t on the picture, but this is a TNG event… maybe I’ll complete the family come DS9 anniversary time!
