BOBW

Although I was familiar with Star Trek from an early age, thanks to constant original series reruns on television, it was The Next Generation that made me a fan. I was 15 years old when the show first aired and from episode one on I was hooked. Space travel and exploration, a united federation of planets, a mostly positive perception of the future. This all resonated well with me at the time and TNG became a show I have often revisited since. Back in the day the introduction of the Borg was a game changer.

Their first appearance was eerie, creepy, and Captain Picard’s transformation into Locutus later on in The Best of Both Worlds a true shock. I remember the tension after watching the end of Part 1 very well. The two-parter was an instant personal favorit back then and still is. I always felt these episodes would have made a great feature film and I decided to pay hommage to this movie by painting a classic poster artwork for our TNG 35 anniversary show.

I prefer to work traditionally. My TNG tribute piece is painted using pencils, colored pencils, airbrush colors and acrylics on gessoed MDF board.
