I have been watching Star Trek since before I can remember not watching Star Trek. In fact, though as a child I already knew Darth Vader was Luke’s father, despite not having seen any Star Wars movies, I did not know that Jean Luc Picard was in danger of assimilation. That is why Best of Both Worlds sticks in my memory as a terrified 6 year old, and why I chose to depict Locutus of Borg as my entry for TNG35Art.

I have always been alone in watching and loving Star Trek as I live in a small rural town in Scotland. Other Star Trek fans my age were hard to come by. I am thrilled now in the modern day that technology allows us all to connect, to share our passion and be a part of something greater… just like… the Borg… oh no! Resistance is Futile.
