I was 9 or 10 when Star Trek The Next Generation first beamed into my life and it was my favourite thing to watch after school every evening for a number of years.

 

I had been a fan of the early Trek  movies before that but TNG felt like a show made for me at that time. I always loved the ‘oners’ like ‘Phantasms’ (much in the same way they did them in The X-Files) that weren’t burdened by over-arching narratives etc. – but just a bit of fun.
