As TOS was my parents’ weekly Trek series, when The Next Generation aired I finally had mine. I enjoyed new adventures of the crew as for years only limited reruns or periodic movies were there to satisfy the craving for more Trek. From 1987-1994 I literally grew up from young teen to adult and its unprecedented history and episode run would never be replicated in my view.
“My piece is a celebration of the award-winning and groundbreaking episode “The Big Goodbye”, TNG’s first major foray into holodeck (mis)adventures. As a big film noir fan, it was a treat to give TNG some noir stylings with a pseudo-period movie poster. The episode even guest stars film noir-era actor Lawrence Tierney! It’s a match made in fandom heaven.”
