I wanted to focus on the Enterprise as it’s one of my earliest memories of the show. I first watched it when I was a kid on BBC 2 after The Simpsons. My childhood memories of actual episodes and characters are fairly hazy but the one thing that always stood out was the Enterprise-D. It’s also a great way to portray the vastness of space; a huge vessel moving through an even larger nebula, reiterating that no matter how much we think we know, there’s still more frontier out there left to explore, but more importantly to learn from. Which sums up Star Trek pretty well I think.
