Hallo thar! I’m Ryan and I’m an illustrator from Leicestershire in the UK. First up, I’ll admit that I’m not a die hard trekkie fan, but more of an average fan of the franchise. My earliest memories of Trek are the films featuring the original cast and The Next Generation which broadcasted on BBC2 in the early 90s. I didn’t really get into Trek until its 30th Anniversary with the premiere of both First Contact and Voyager in the UK.

From there I revisited The Next Generation with the best of VHS collections and one of thoseVHS tapes was The Best of Both Worlds story which I still own today. This is why I have chosen this story for my piece as it was my first proper ownership of a Star Trek media and I wanted to deliver a homage to that classic story.
